FEMA late submission fee calculator — FC-GPR, FC-TRS, ODI

Missed a FEMA reporting deadline? Most late filings can be regularised by paying a late submission fee within three years. Estimate yours under RBI’s formula.

How RBI calculates LSF

  • Filings with money flows (FC-GPR, FC-TRS, Form CN, ESOP, DI, InVi, LLP forms, ODI Part I/III, Form FC, ECB-2): ₹7,500 + 0.025% × A × n, where A is the amount involved and n is the delay in years (rounded up to whole months, expressed to two decimals), capped at 100% of A.
  • Returns without flows (FLA, Annual Performance Report, FC-GPR(B), OPI): a flat ₹7,500.
  • The fee is rounded up to the nearest ₹100 and available for up to three years from the due date — after that, compounding.

Frequently asked questions

What is the late submission fee for FC-GPR?
₹7,500 plus 0.025% of the amount involved multiplied by the years of delay (rounded up to whole months), capped at the amount involved and rounded up to the nearest ₹100, under RBI's circular of 30 September 2022.
What is the late fee for a late FLA return?
A flat ₹7,500 per return, as the FLA return doesn't capture money flows.
What if a FEMA filing is more than three years late?
The late submission fee route is available only up to three years from the due date; beyond that the contravention must be compounded with RBI.
